Sometimes, late at night, I like to lie in bed and feel where my body ends, and the universe begins.
Because we are made of molecules (I love science - magic being science that we don’t understand) and molecules have valences with varying degrees of fullness - so electrons are constantly moving from one molecule to the next.
Say you have a H₂O molecule in your arm (okay, so there are very, very many of these in your body…but we’re just focusing on one for the moment), and there is an H₂O molecule floating around next to your arm.
In a very simplistic way (and I emphasize the simplistic aspect of what I’m talking about here because if you have a conversation with Chatgpt you will get a headache trying to understand the microbiology of how oxygen interacts with your body on a surface level)
Oxygen has 6 electrons in its outer valence, it takes 8 electrons to fill a valence - so there are 2 empty places (this is why hydrogen connects so easily to oxygen) electrons are always moving between molecules - it’s what makes them stick. It gives us the illusion of reality…
Now that you understand the basics, the meditation is to lie there and feel the transfer of energy. To feel the blending of myself and the space around me.
I wonder if that isn’t the way phasing works - like to phase through something solid. I’ll have to think about what I think about that…
For a long time, I thought I was the only one who did this…
But I was watching "Griff the Invisible" (2010). In this Australian romantic drama, and one of the characters, Melody, the love interest, talks about doing this exact same thing!
While I might be crazy…
I know I’m not the only one
How do you experience the woo?
@Jill Hart - I find a good application of this for me personally is to lie on my bed and meditate breathing in through my nose on a 5 count and slowly breathing out through pursed lips on 6 or 7 count for a few minutes. Then, I like to grab my headphones and put on some meditation music - or if you'd rather something like the album Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here - and continue meditating on the existence of my mind in safe internal space.
If you are crazy it certainly makes two of us! When I'm "crazy" a bit of company sometimes soothes my soul. So, thank you for your insightful words and a bit of company on this "Easy Like Sunday Morning"
Namaste 🙏
Love me some woo
