I've been watching all of the conversations surrounding Substack's new AI scanner, and I have to admit... I find the reaction far more interesting than the scanner itself.
Thanks Michelle - I love your Rabbit Holes so much. They take me back to a different era, explore things I never knew existed and take my mind on adventures to pondering things I might never have put together - Like certain Sponge Bob characters....
If you go to your settings on the publication dashboard - then go all the way to the bottom of the setting page just above the danger zone you will see an option to make an "I create this way" statement. Also when you check your own scan there is a little option right at the top that says create your I create this way statement. I totally used AI to create mine🤣in the spirit of AI disclosure
it's pretty useless in my opinion and I don't care if ai helps us or not - we are the ones bringing the idea to ai to get it to create from - it's not like we go there and say - oh look I'll just take this idea ai gave me out of the blue....
I love every word of this and couldn't care less if AI helped you write it or not! AND... I cannot tell you how much I laughed out loud to learn that you and I have the SAME dad! Mine loves the AI YouTube audio crime stories... he's totally hooked. I wince every time but he enjoys them and that makes me truly happy. 💗
I totally agree with you. I use it to help me edit, brainstorm and develop ideas. It's great for research which really helps with my rabbit holes.

Great article Jill. Ugh the Karen thing 🤣 where do you have your statement that you use AI? Is it a footer or something?

(Even though you admitted that you had AI assistance)
The Article I wrote, "it" says it's fully 100% AI !

The scanner has said my writing is 100% AI. it was wrong
