A Single Podcast
changed everything...
It was the summer of 2019 there I was in the back yard...
the sun beating down on my neck,
…blinding me as I try and find a podcast episode about some Biblical conspiracy or another to listen to on my phone while I mow the lawn.
I see that episode, just barely, as I'm shielding the phone with my hand and squinting hard to make out the titles …
because the sun is bright, and my phone is not so much…

It catches my attention - something deep inside warns me - don't listen to that episode …
it will upend your life and tumble you around like an old pair of tennis shoes in the dryer.
Thoughts whirl though my head...
Do I listen to the podcast?
Do I open my mind to the possibility that there is another way to look at the world
Am I ready for this?
My greatest desire has always been to feel at peace and to find acceptance,
to feel like I am enough,
that I have a place in the world.
That I am significant.
I chose to listen to the podcast episode, ignoring the voices in my head screaming - don't do it!!
At first, I just listened with an open mind, but then, the implications of what he was saying began to seep into my consciousness
Mowing back and forth across the lawn that hot afternoon, smelling the lazy summer heat in the air
the beginnings of a life shift where happening.
I could feel it like when an earthquake strikes starting off as a small rumble then...
the intensity building ...
It would take several years to fully deconvert from Christianity and embrace a life with hope,
to find the coaches out there standing guard on the cliff that the New World Order, I believed, had intended for us to sail over landing in their dystopian universe,
and to start my podcast featuring these amazing coaches,
