A Curious Event
and the message I believe it portrays on embracing sobriety
An incredible experience & What I think it means...
There I am bent over the water spigot after putting water on my front yard plants, while my husband was putzing around with the truck.
I feel this weird sensation on my head and think, "oh crap I'm being attacked by wasps"!
Immediately my hands go to my head as I feel something tangling in my hair (which was up, not unusual for this time of year when it still hot out).
As I look around warily, for the wasps that I was sure had attacked me, and waiting to feel the stings that I thought were inevitable, my husband pointed to the pour spigot just on the fence line.
(We live next to a Grainery and they park one of the pour trucks with the spout crossing over into our yard. (I don't think I will ever look a that spout the same again)
Sitting there looking at me was a smaller hawk. Dark brown wings, dark beak and cream belly with dark spots. Its mouth was slightly open.
I started asking the bird (telepathically) what it was trying to tell me! Though I didn't get an immediate answer...I believe I know what the message was.
When birds touch your head it's a message.
Yesterday, was the beginning of my decision to embrace a life of sobriety. I've been struggling with gut issues for years and had made the decision the week before that I was going to work on cleaning up my diet, eliminating things that aren't healing and only consume things that added to my life force in a positive way.
I really feel like the hawk incident was the great cosmic energy (or God) telling me my efforts will be blessed and to stay the course.
